3 Fun and Easy Ways to Practice Affirmations

Affirmations are one of the most powerful resources we have to heal ourselves and change our minds.

There are so many versatile ways we can incorporate positive affirmations into our healing, so that we are getting the most out of this resource.

Using affirmations can be fun and empowering, rather than feeling like a chore.

When we make our self-care practices playful and joyous, we are more likely to continue engaging in the practice, therefore creating positive new habits in our lives.

Read on as I share 3 fun ways to incorporate positive affirmations into your daily life, for more healing, self love, and joy:

-Get musical! One of the most fun and engaging ways to use positive affirmations is to turn your affirmations into a song! You can simply sing your affirmations to a tune of your favorite jam, or freestyle and write your own! Music also helps our brains to remember things, and to associate positive feelings with the words we are saying. There are also musicians who record beautiful and healing affirmation songs. I recommend checking out Beautiful Chorus, Karen Drucker, and Alexa Sunshine Rose. Enjoy this process and sing your affirmations as loudly as you can!

-Get Creative! You don’t need to be an artist to enjoy this next activity. Choose one or two of your favorite affirmations and create art out of them! Choose colors that represent the feeling and energy of your affirmations and draw or cut out and paste images, symbols, and phrases that further empower your affirmation. Once you’re done, you now have a gorgeous and uplifting piece of art to hang in your home or office, where you can always see it. Moving through this creative process will deeply connect you with your affirmation and give you a lifelong reminder to love yourself.

-Daydream! This particular activity is so fun and important for this process. When we use our imagination, we are creating an energetic blueprint for where we are headed and for what we’d like to experience. This is what manifesting is all about! Give yourself permission to daydream at least once a day about your affirmations coming true. For example, if your affirmation is “I am learning to love myself” then visualize what a day where you are fully embodying self-love looks and feels like. On the other hand, if your affirmation is “I am abundant” then visualize what abundance looks and feels like in your life! The beauty of daydreaming is that there are absolutely no limitations, so truly let yourself imagine exactly what your heart dreams of- and know that when you combine the positive thought with the feeling, you are powerfully magnetizing this reality into your life. Set aside five minutes a day to visualize and dream.

Choose your favorite affirmation activity and give it a try next time you sit down for some self care.
